Arethusa has always had a weep coming in through the transom. She'd had a slightly dodgy transom alteration many years ago and that had been camouflaged with coverboards and a margin piece. We decided to take these off and have a good look.
Found all sorts of interesting stuff underneath. So Mike at Ashby's set about putting solid wood fillers where there was rot and then she got wrapped in a fibreglass bandage, complete with a nice curvy margin piece. Nice repair, no leaks now, many thanks Mike.
While we were at it the stem got some attention, decades of anchor dings got taken out and a temporary cover piece fitted. Nice shaping job, many thanks Lester. A full length bronze stem plate is being cast up and should should be fitted in February.
